This 1000x700mm hand painted canvas was a custom ordered piece. the client gave me artistic freedom on this canvas, their only request that it involve the creature from the deep "The Kraken"

In true JB form the design I chose was extremely challenging and constantly putting my skills to the test. The key inspiration behind key features in this piece come from a variety of different places. I wanted to create the illusion of the viewing lens being half submerged under the raging sea water to show the impressive size of the mysterious creature whilst it tries to pull the pirate ship and its crew down to Davey Jones Locker
